After the big night, we will host a brunch at our place in Grimbergen Center for our out-of-town guests, followed by a leisurely stroll through the neighborhood to explore some of Grimbergen’s most iconic sights—the Basilica, the Abbey, and of course, the highlight of the day, the Grimbergen Abbey Brewery.

The tour begins with a visit to the Basilica of Grimbergen, a masterpiece of baroque architecture, built from the region’s distinctive sandstone. Founded in 1660 and granted basilica status in 2000, it stands as a testament to the area’s rich cultural heritage.

Next, we’ll head to the Grimbergen Abbey, the oldest inhabited Norbertine abbey in Belgium. With its history marked by destruction and rebirth, symbolszed by the phoenix, the abbey has been rebuilt three times after devastating fires. Today, it stands not only as a historical monument but also as a living symbol of resilience.

Our stroll will culminate at the Grimbergen Abbey Brewery, the true heart of the experience. Recently revived on its historic site, the brewery carries on a centuries-old brewing tradition, producing the world-famous Grimbergen beer.
